What's weird though, ive had battery issues before, in fact a year after getting the car, the battery was replaced under warranty by Ford. The car struggled to start, the fans wouldnt work when driving, the heated screen didnt work (no idea if its working now),but mainly it struggled to start. unofix. please don't just start guessing, it gets very expensive very quickly. You need the DTC codes which will point you in the direction of the fault (could be an ABS wheel sensor). You need a laptop with the software FORScan (its free) and a modified ELM327 lead to connect to the OBDII port. Then get the DTC. Posted April 18, 2017. I tried the spare and that was dead too. Had to manually unlock the doors which is a pain in the backside but everything else seems ok. I have a 2015 MkV and the stop/start system seems to be playing up. Normally when the system kicks in and turns off the engine a green symbol lights in the rev counter binnacle, recently when it malfunctions I get a yellow flashing symbol in the binnacle. The flashing yellow icon is in the same place and looks the same as the green This sounds a lot like the problems with some Ford Focus (2018->) owners talk about in my country's Ford forum. The cars do not charge the battery full enough and some electronic systems aren't available because of that. My OBD2 reader which has always worked will no longer connect to the port.
